Summer Science 2018

ASSESSING for LEARNING:
A New Perspective

June 25 – 29, 2018 – 8:30–12:30 daily

Based on the work of the San Francisco Exploratorium Institute for Inquiry, Assessing for Learning: A New Perspective introduces the Formative Assessment Cycle, a process by which teachers gather evidence of students’ thinking to decide next steps for teaching. Using an experiential approach, workshop participants will learn strategies to figure out where students are getting stuck and what to do to help them get to the next level of learning.
